GEORGE TOWN, Oct 3 – Haze has made its seasonal comeback to Penang, with an unhealthy Air Pollutant Index (API) recorded at the USM station on the island here today on 3pm. Checks showed that the island was not visible from the Penang Bridge. As at 3pm today, the API reading on the island stood at 105, rising from a reading of 99 just an hour before.
In the same time, the readings at the one station on the mainland was also raising from moderate levels to unhealthy level which are the Seberang Jaya 2, Perai to stood at 101, rising from a reading of 97 just an hour before. Beside that, the readings of another one station on the mainland remained at moderate levels, with the Perai station recording a level of 84.
