GEORGE TOWN, August 5 – On 30th July Saturday Tech Dome’s annual fund-raising event Glo-walk 7.0 has graciously panned out after a long gap due to Covid outburst. The event was accelerated at 5pm at Taman Belia, Penang (Youth Park). In this whole set of events came with entertaining chamber where Tech Dome has arranged our new mascot appearance – TD Bot, Glow boards, cosplayers, Face painting booth, mind boggling game corners, food station and most importantly Tech Dome Donation booth.
Which came with multiple souvenirs to redeem after the donation, this donation box precisely for outsiders to donate since we were having and planning workshops, Bootcamp that benefits the students. This Fund-raising event were targeted to raise RM 80k overall. 3,000 walkers participated this event. Guest of honor, YB Prof Dr. P. Ramasamy flagged off the event accompanied by YB Teh Lai Heng (represented Chief Minister), YB Chris Lee (ADUN Pulau Tikus), YB Jason Ong (ADUN Kebun Bunga), board members of Penang Tech Centre – Dato’ Seri Wong Siew Hai, Dato’ Seri Lim Kok Khong, Datin Bharati A/P Suppiah.
We gave away 70 lucky draw prizes and grand prize is a motorcycle. I’m excited to see the overwhelmed response after the pandemic, said YB Prof Dr. P. Ramasamy. On the other hand, Tech Dome Penang would like to thank the gold sponsors Kok Construction, M.E.I. Project Engineers Sdh Bhd, GREATECH and NSW automation. Silver sponsors were VAT group, ABBOTT Medical Device Division Penang, Smart Modular Technologies and Nolato Malaysia for sponsoring this Glo-Walk 7.0 event and not forgetting 100 plus and Sunquick to support the drinking station.
Tech dome has just cerebrated 6th anniversary, right after that we are so excited to welcome everyone for Glo-walk 7.0 after taking break due to movement control last year 2021. So refreshing and rejuvenating since its opened for all other than the participants and we are expecting 3k participants for this event. Tech Dome has received tons of positive feed backs on getting back on track after so long where people are excited to participate.
