KUALA LUMPUR, November 8 — The Malaysia Scuba Diving Association (MSDA) has urged diving operators to comply with licensing requirements.
While supporting tighter environmental controls to protect the country’s coral reefs. MSDA president Aminor Azmi Abdul Latip said tourism authorities were stepping up licensing enforcement.
Warning that non-compliant operators could face penalties or operational restrictions. The association also backed science-based limits on visitors, boats and diving activities at marine tourism destinations.
Including Tioman, Redang and Perhentian islands. MSDA called for stronger action against destructive fishing practices, improved reef conservation and closer cooperation between government agencies, researchers and tourism operators.
