GEORGE TOWN, September 17 — Hong Kong stars Anthony Wong and Edison Chen are leading the upcoming RM10 million Chinese New Year comedy Temple of Wishes, now filming in Penang.
Wong returns to the state about a decade after shooting thriller Insomnia, this time for a comedy production. Chen, meanwhile, is making a high-profile return to the big screen after years away from film acting.
The production will also shoot in Kuala Lumpur, Hengdian and Bellagio, Italy, with principal photography scheduled through Sept 30.
The film follows two struggling men who begin operating a temple built around granting wishes. Release is planned for Feb 6, 2027.
