GEORGETOWN, March 21 – Firstly, I would like to express gratitude to God for giving me the opportunity to all of us to gather today for the opening Mammo Program Penang. Free Mammogram Screening facilities this is a woman who loved program has been designed by Pakatan Rakyat state government since 2013 again. Total population Penang until the year 2013 amounted to nearly 1.7 million people.
Out of a total of 810,000 people are women and women aged 35 years and above is about 10% of the 520,000 people that is about 52, OOO people are the target of this program participants. This program is specifically for fiengundi-registered voters in Penang, is generally known that breast cancer is a disease that is very dangerous to women who reach the age of 40 years and above. Detection at an early stage can prevent complications and injury effects of this cancer
This service also provides transportation service to and from the service center to center Adun this Mammogram checks. The program is held on the weekend of Saturday and Sunday specifically to enable housewives who do not have their own transport facilities to voluntarily take the opportunity to make checks without wasting time waiting and queuing. Here I also want to congratulate once again to the BP Diagnostic Sdn Bhd chosen as the operator Penang Mammo this program with a contract value of RM2,246,400 for 3 years. The State Government also wishes to express appreciation and gratitude for the cooperation and the Bridged Women sumbanngan for the success of this program Penang Mammo together officials of Armenia and moro each area. It is their responsibility to obtain a total of 40 participants for each examination session.
State Government together with the BP Diagnostic Sdn Bhd has agreed to enter into a contract for three (3) years for this service. As it was informed earlier this program will run every weekend, on Saturday and Sunday at two checkpoints at the Menara Penang Garden and also in BP Diagnostic Centre Sdn Bhd examination in Bukit Mertajam. This means that every region of Armenia will have a chance to at least 3 times per year to send their electorates to enjoy this service. Examination calendar has been prepared until the end of this year to allow officials of Armenia ready and get participants from each region.
BP Diagnostic Selection Company as operator of this program was not built in a hurry and catch unloading only. The company was selected after conducting an open tender system on the basis of their ability in terms of professional skills and equipment they have. This selection is made carefully and background of the company which has more than $ 50 diagnostic centers in the country and also has more than 200 checkpoints throughout the country. Lastly, I hereby launch Mammo-Penang Program, and hope that this program will be able to provide benefits to all the people of Penang in general and women Khasnyar.
It is undeniable that Breast Cancer is a major threat to the population of 14 million women in Malaysia. One (1) in every twenty (20) women in Malaysia are at risk of getting breast cancer in their lives this life equivalent to seven hundred thousand 7OO, OOO people Therefore, the state government has been struggling since 2013 to provide free mammogram examination to all women in Penang and finally mengahurungi all obstacles on the joint State Government together with the BP Healthcare Group (operator program), WDC (Penang Women’s Development Corporation), and Pink Healthy Penang Penang (The Breast Cancer Support Group) ”. This program is expected to continue until 2018 with initial expectations about 23.280 participants. This program will take place every weekend, Saturday and Sunday. If the program has received encouraging response, the State Government is willing to implement this program on a vengeful.
