GEORGETOWN, Jun 17 – Another PAS leader Mhd Nasir Yahya has tendered his resignation as a city councillor in the Penang Island City Council which it has effective by June 15. “I have been received his resignation yesterday. On the behalf of the state government, I would like to thank to him for his good service and contribution as a councillor,” said local Government committee chairman Chow Kon Yeow in his statement.
The resignation was follows by the former Pas central committee member Datuk Dr Mujahid Yusof Rawa which has quit his posts at the Penang Islamic Foundation and Kolej Islam Teknologi Antarabangsa Pulau Pinang (Kitab) after the former deputy president and state commissioner Mohamad Sabu that has resigned from his positions at the Penang Water Supply Corporation and the Penang International Halal Hub.
