GEORGETOWN, Jul 11 – The fun and exciting run Justice League Run Penang is fast approaching. The 2nd press conference of Justice League Run Penang yesterday morning was on the HOHO bus before the launching. It was a better imaginative way to celebrate Merdeka with dressed up as favourite superhero on this 30th August 2015 at the Esplanade (Padang Kota Lama).
The run is not only the first time in Malaysia but was the first time other than in the capital of the country. Meanwhile, there were more of Penang heroes are included such as YB Zairil Khir Johari the MP for Bukit Bendera and YB Steven Sim, the MP for Bukit Mertajam who will also gear up for that day.
It will indeed be quite a spectacle to witness a sea of runners all clad in Justice League outfits against a backdrop of our Georgetown World Heritage Site. The registration date has been extended to 31 July 2015 with the Participation fee is RM100 per person.
The participant may get an entitlement for a cool DC Comics Super Hero t-shirt, mask or cape, medal, certificate and more. For the early bird promotion limited to the first 3,000 registrants is now on till 12 July. The promo includes a limited edition Justice League tumbler, a RM50 voucher to spend in any DC Comics Super Heroes stores in Malaysia and a free entry to Penang Amazing World Studios, all valued at RM100.
Participants will collect their race entry pack with goodies at St Jo’s (Level 1), Gurney Paragon Mall from 27 – 29 August 2015. Penang Hop-On Hop-Off (HOHO) also will be providing free shuttle service for runners who can park and ride from Gurney Paragon Mall to the Esplanade and back on the event day.
The parking rate for runners at Gurney Paragon Mall’s multi-storey car park is a flat rate of RM4.00 per entry, valid from 5.00am to 1.00pm and regular price would apply after 1.00pm. Besides that, there will be a Justice League Weekend in Penang organised from 27 – 31 August 2015 at Gurney Paragon Mall.
On these dates, anyone who shows up by cosplaying or wearing the logos/characters of any of the five DC Comics Super Heroes which are Superman, Batman, The Flash, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman at Gurney Paragon Mall’s participating outlets will be entitled to enjoy special promotions. During the event, Penang Hop-On Hop-Off (HOHO) is offering a 15% discount on its 24-hour tickets for who cosplays/wears the logos/characters of any five DC Comics Super Heroes when purchasing the tickets.
