GEORGETOWN, Jul 25 – The Penang Island City Council (MBPP) hosted of Hari Raya Open House at the SPICE yesterday with attended by the Penang State Governnor and his consort, Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, EXCO members, assembly members and councillors.
In the same time, there were also around 2,000 people were attended at the SPICE which including aged, orphans and OKU. There were treated some of Penang tastiest hawker foods such as mee sotong Padang Kota, lemang, ketupat, satay, ais kacang, rendang, nasi dalca, laksa and more.
Meanwhile, evergreen bands also sang Raya songs to entertain all the VVIPs and guests during they are eating. Lastly, Penang Mayor, Datuk Patahiyah Ismail also gave out the goodies bags to the various orphanages, old folks homes and homes for the handicapped.
