CYBERJAYA, Aug 7 – The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has welcomed the recommendation of the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak to the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 strengthened.
“The Commission is committed to increasing enforcement against those who violate the law. Meanwhile, the Commission has established a dedicated enforcement team to handle content in social media that have violated the law or that attempts to provoke public anxiety and chaos that enforcement action can be taken for that purpose,” said MCMC chairman Datuk Seri Dr. Halim Shafie issued in a statement.
