GEORGE TOWN, Aug 21 – The state Education Department has instructed and banned all schools in Penang to taking part in Merdeka Day celebration which was organised by the state government until receiving further instructions. State Education Department director Datuk Osman Hussain said that the state Education Department circular dated about it yesterday.
He said he was following the Merdeka Day theme set Penang DAP government is at odds with the federal government. He added said they do not want education institutions in the country are polluted, shadowed or associated with unhealthy thinking highlighted political leaders in this country.
