GEORGE TOWN, Aug 26 – YB Teh Lai Heng and MBPP Senior Staff Engineer Sukumar a/l Subramaniam was distributing the Merdeka flag to all of the car who passed by to Komtar here on Wednesday afternoon. The 200 flag was allocation by Sukumar a/l Subramaniam which cost around RM 400.
“We are thankful to God for His grace, we can all gather on this evening to distribute the flag on the Merdeka Month Celebration and fly the flag to celebrate Independence Day Anniversary 58th 2015 on this historical day can be equally we contrive. In this end of August, we will witness the 58th independence anniversary,” said YB Teh Lai Heng.
“Independence gives a definition of a very large and significant. The country’s success today is the result of our struggle without toil at one time to see an independent nation, ruled and governed by the populace. Independence Celebration is not just a slogan uplifting. Moreover, it should be punctuated with deep appreciation as we do not want independence only in name,” he said.
He said that it would be more mainstream, and proven that they have been through episodes such as inter-ethnic strife, financial crises and political turmoil. He added the main thing to contemplate in achieving the purpose of the independence anniversary is, the extent of our success to date in preparing and presenting a progressive Malaysia to be left to future generations.
“Malaysia is a multiracial country that is unique in the world. This uniqueness makes us special and assets in order to achieve high-income developed nation status the next few years. In essence, now is not the time for us to break up. Besides that, to allegations that resists, we can not give up, but should move forward to develop the country’s national unity based,” he said.
