KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 10 – Umno president Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said that the UMNO General Assembly will be held on 8 to 12 Dec 2015. The Prime Minister said the dates were chosen in view of Malaysia hosting many international events in November.
“So we will holding it in December after the parliamentary session is over. Meanwhile, Umno will continue to focus on party work for the people. As a party that underpin the government, not only will focus on developing countries and solving people’s problems,” he told reporters after chairing a meeting of UMNO’s Supreme Council (MT) here on Tuesday.
“What is close to the hearts of the people will continue to receive priority including in the upcoming budget. I hope that we can be a good suggestions from various quarters to be included in the national budget which the budget 2016 is expected to be tabled in Parliament in October,” he added.
