KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 14 – According to highway concessionaire Syarikat Lingkaran Luar Butterworth (PG) Sdn Bhd, the toll rates for the Butterworth Outer Ring Road (BORR) will increasing by between 10 sen and RM1.60 which will effective on Oct 15 at the Prai, Bagan Ajam and Sungai Nyior toll plazas.
Its general manager Adnan Ariffin said on Tuesday that the new rates were for Class 1 to 4 vehicles while there was no change for Class 5 vehicles (buses). He said in a statement that the new toll rates at the Prai and Bagan Ajam toll plazas would be RM1.50 fro Class 1 – private cars, RM3 fro Class 2 – vehicles with two axles and six tyres, RM4.50 for Class 3 – vehicles with three axles and more than six tyres and 80 sen for Class 4 – taxis.
He added that the toll rates for Class 5 at the Prai and Bagan Ajam toll plazas remain at RM1.30 and RM1.20. He said the new rates would be RM1.20 (Class 1), RM2.40 (Class 2), RM3.60 (Class 3) and 60 sen (Class 4) while for Class 5 it would remain at 90 sen at the Sungai Nyior toll plaza.
