KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 19 – The development plan for Kampong Baru, which is located in the middle of the national capital, is symbolic for the development of the Malays, who are the majority in the area, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Tun Razak. He said the government was implementing the development plan via the setting up of the Kampong Baru Development Corporation (PKB) to ensure the Malays would not be marginalised from national development.
Najib said he want the Malays to be a progessive community and have a social status to be proud of. Meanwhile, he added that this at the ‘Kampung Baru, New Legacy’ ceremony before performing the ground-breaking ceremony for the Kampung Baru Legacy Project here on Sunday.
