KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 20 – The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) meeting will no longer hold press conferences at Parliament House. PAC chairman Datuk Hasan Arifin said the decision was made following the ‘saya pun cari makan’ (I too need to make a living) remark he had made which was wrongly reported by certain news portal on Wednesday.
“Therefore, any information would be conveyed through official statements. I am disappointed that my efforts to create a friendly atmosphere between the committee and the media are not appreciated by some media practitioners. Even though my joke at the press conference yesterday, before going out to lunch, should not be reported, there were still some media that published it,” he said in a statement here on Thursday.
