GEORGE TOWN, Nov 21 – Penang Deputy Chief Minister YB Dato’ Haji Mohd Rashid Bin Hasnon announced a state gazetted event, Golf Amal TYT 2015 which will be held in January 16, 2016 (Saturday) at East Course of Penang Golf Resort. This event will be collaborate between the State Government and Penang Golf Resort to raise the fund for the Tabung Yayasan TYT in aid of the underprivileged and for Penangites to achieve their academic excellence.
This golf event originally scheduled to be held on November 29, 2015 while now had postponed to January 16, 2016 (Saturday) due to circumstances beyond the control. The mode of playing will be shotgun start and field of 120 golfers comprising the state administrators and top executives of corporate companies will taken part in this event. The participation will be open to all while the winner will be crowned the Overall Champion of the TYT Challenge Trophy.
In additional, to array of fabulous prizes, there will be valuable prizes in the Hole-In-One comprising one Mazda 2 (1.5L), Suzuki Swift, Rolex Watch, S-Yard golf set and overseas trip to name a few. The organising committee is pleased to announce that this event has managed to touch the hearts of many generous philanthropies and now have managed to raise cash and sponsorship in kind amounting to RM200,000.
“The golf tournament is open to all categories. The entry fees is RM10,000 per flight and all funds collected will be channeled to the Tabung Yayasan TYT and is tax exempted. Besides that, we would like to invite the MNCs, FMMs, REDHA, Associations and Chambers of Commerce to come forward and be our partner to contribute to the good,” said Rashid.
