MUAR, Nov 24 – PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar continues to draw more criticism for her meeting with Jacel Kiram, the daughter of the late leader of the Sulu terrorists who invaded Lahad Datu, Sabah. First vice-president of the Malaysian Armed Forces Veterans Association (PVATM), Major (R) Sazali Ismail said Nurul Izzah was insensitive to the families of soldiers killed two years ago.

“The meeting was not supposed to happen and what was her real motive. It concerns national sovereignty which did not come easy but via the sacrifices of our soldiers,” he said at the presentation of Pingat Jasa Malaysia (PJM) and donation for the Warriors’ Fund here on Monday.

Nurul Izzah’s action aroused public anger and her agenda and motive were regarded as a threat to national sovereignty. In the meantime, Sazali also said that although Nurul Izzah had regretted her action, the matter cannot be left at that because a majority of Malaysians cannot accept it.
