KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 26 – President of Perkasa Ibrahim Ali has been called chairman of Bersih 2.0 Maria Chin Abdullah as ‘perempuan sial’ after he got wind that she had allegedly associated his NGO with extremist activities in the country. She is alleged to have said this to US President Barack Obama when he was in Malaysia recently.
“If it is true that Maria Chin had alleged that the government allowed extremist activities and cited Perkasa, I’ll have her know that I call her ‘perempuan sial’. I only learnt of the matter through a news portal. I’m not against women, I respect them,” he said.
“Meanwhile, why did US embassy’s action of arranging a meeting with Obama and choose to meet with pro-opposition NGOs? I think the United States is trying to pressure the Malaysian government,” he told this to the reporters at his office here on Wednesday
