KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 9 – The media centre housing media representatives on Level 2 of the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) here, in conjunction with the 2015 UMNO General Assembly was officially opened yestertoday by UMNO Vice-President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
Also present at the opening ceremony were UMNO Information Head Datuk Ahmad Maslan, UMNO Executive Secretary Datuk Ab Rauf Yusoh and media organisations top-management representatives including Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) General Manager Datuk Zulkefli Salleh.
A total of 1,800 local and foreign media representatives are being housed at the media centre which is also equipped with WiFi facility and provided with food and drinks. A Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) reporter Ahmad Ashraf Ab Rahman described the media centre as an exclusive facility provided by UMNO to media personnel. He said there were no political party has ever provided such a comprehensive facility like this media centre to media personnel.
