PORT DICKSON, Dec 11 – A total of 783.9 kilogrammes of syabu worth RM 157.5 million which was seized by the Pahang Narcotics Investigation Department in 2009, was disposed at Kualiti Alam Sdn Bhd’s toxic waste disposal site in Bukit Nenas near here, Thursday.

“The drugs disposed of involved the largest drug seizure in the state in 2009. The disposal of this case exhibit involved drugs seized as the court case has been concluded. It also aims to avoid clutter in the storage area, which restricts the movement of exhibits in and out of the place for trial,” Pahang Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department chief Datuk Jamaludin Kudin told reporters at the disposal centre on Thursday.

Also present were Negeri Sembilan State CID chief Supt Ayub Salim and Kualiti Alam chief executive officer Khalid Bahsoon. In another development, Jamaludin also said that for the first 11 months of this year, Pahang police had seized drugs worth RM22.7 million.
