KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 11 – Delegates to the 2015 UMNO General Assembly, who have expressed undivided loyalty to the UMNO President, openly called on the leadership line-up to reunite for the survival of the party. They also want UMNO members and the leadership line-up to focus on the challenges in facing the 14th General Election to ensure that UMNO, which is the backbone of the Barisan Nasional (BN), continues to form the government.
The delegates who debated on the motion of thanks for the presidential policy speech clearly said that they loved the leadership line-up including the past leaders. Thus, they wanted all differences, conflicts and misunderstandings that cropped up to stop. The delegates who spoke on Wednesday appeared to concur with the call by the three wings of the party at their respective assemblies Wednesday for the top party leadership to renew unity in order to strengthen public support for UMNO.
