KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 13 – Visitors and party supporters who converged on Saturday at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) here in conjunction with the UMNO General Assembly 2015 are also having the opportunity to try their hands in the traditional games.
Wanita UMNO chief Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil said the traditional games like Batu Seremban (five stones) and Congkak organised by the Wanita UMNO sports and culture bureau are being held at the PWTC foyer throughout the five days of the general assembly.
“We can see a lot of visitors at the foyer who came in the morning to listen to various speeches and debates through the screen, listening to speeches will definitely be an exhausting day. We take the initiative to invite them to play the traditional games. Apart from restoring young people’s interest in traditional games, visitors from across the country would also be able to get to know each other and foster better relationships while participating in the games,” she told reporters here Saturday.
