SUNGAI PETANI, Dec 28 – Four police reports were lodged on Sunday which was urging the police for the immediate legal action to be taken regarding to the song that insulted UMNO leaders and the party which has become the viral on the social websites.
The police reports were lodged by the Merbok UMNO Youth movement, Merbok Puteri UMNO division, Belia 4B for the Merbok Parliamentary constituency, and the Merbok Parliamentary Sports and Recreation Club at the Kuala Muda District Police Headquarters on Sunday afternoon.
Kedah UMNO Youth chief Datuk Shaiful Hazizy Zainol Abidin, who is also the Merbok UMNO Youth chief, said the song was believed to have been spread on the internet first in 2007 but it became viral on the social website three days ago. He said that’s why they are lodging a police report on Sunday to the rudeness of a group of musicians who have changed the lyrics of the song with words that insult UMNO.
Shaiful Hazizy told reporters after lodging the police report. In additional, he also said that the move by him and other colleagues in making the police reports was based on their sense of responsibility in protecting and defending the party from slanders and unhealthy elements.
