KOTA BAHARU, Jan 19 – Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) leaders who attended the programme organised by Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) in Kelantan are considered to have denied PAS’ interests, said PAS secretary-general Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan. He said this was because PKR was still PAS’ political partner and Kelantan had remained under PAS administration, but the programme organised by Amanah was clearly aimed at criticising PAS.
He told reporters here Monday that any PKR leaders attending the programme organised by Amanah are considered to have denied PAS’ interests. When asked about the presence of PKR leaders in programmes organised by Amanah in other states, Takiyuddin said the issue was only relevant in Kelantan.
As such, he said PAS committees at the branch and division levels statewide had been asked to lodge a report to the central committee should their leaders or members were found to have attended Amanah programmes. Earlier this month, PAS had also issued a warning to all its members and leaders not to attend any programmes organised by Amanah.
