KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 28 – The recalibrate 2016 Budget has been seen to have provided much relief to the civil servants in facing the current and ever-challenging economic situation.Congress of Unions of Employees in the Public and Civil Services (Cuepacs) president Azih Muda said the announcement made by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in the recalibrate 2016 Budget speech today.
It had been clearly refuted the allegations that the government would cut the salaries and allowance for civil servants. He said that the promised salary increment is maintained, there is no allowance cut, no termination of contract and minimum wage, what was approved before will be implemented, hence denying all rumours.
Meanwhile, he also added that it is rare to find a country, during this economic situation, where the government is still defending and keeping as priority the well-being of the civil servants which it shows the high hopes the government has for them. He told this to Bernama when contacted here Thursday. As such, Azih called on all civil servants to improve their productivity and to do the best of their ability to serve the people and the country.
