KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 28 – Projek Lebuhraya Usahasama Berhad (PLUS) will be offering a 30 per cent toll rebate for motorists travelling more than 100 kilometres on Feb 4, 11 and 15, in conjunction with Chinese New Year. Its managing director Datuk Noorizah Abd Hamid said those using the electronic mode of payment could enjoy the rebate on the North-South Expressway, North-South Expressway Central Link (ELITE) and North Klang Valley Highway (NKVE).

“The toll rebate will be enjoyed by Class 1 vehicle users, (light vehicles with two axles and three or four wheels except taxi) which are travelling more than 100 km and paying toll using PLUSMiles, Touch ‘n Go or SmartTAG,” she said in a statement Wednesday.

She said motorists would still be paying the same amount on Feb 4, 11 and 15 and the 30 per cent rebate would be reimbursed when they reload from March 15 to June 14, 2016 in all PlUS customer service centres. She said that the rebate can be enjoyed throughout the day on the dates mentioned and not limited to certain time only.

“PLUS also expected traffic flow at the North-South Expressway to increase about 20 per cent, with about 1.6 million vehicles a day during the peak days on Feb 5, 6, 7, 9, 13 and 14. We will issue travel time advisory, so that motorists can plan their journey to avoid traffic congestion,” Norizah said.
