SERDANG, March 20 – Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi today reminded UMNO members to show unstinting loyalty to the party’s leaders. The Deputy Prime Minister said this could put an end to problems UMNO was facing which if left to fester, would be detrimental to the party and its struggle.
Stating that he was a staunch loyalist to the party struggle and the president and Prime Minister in defending its leadership institution, Ahmad Zahid, who is also UMNO vice president, said this principle should be upheld and appreciated by all party members.
“That is the principle I have held all along besides us having to avoid splits in giving our loyalty. So, as a party supporter, love UMNO with your heart and soul so that the party goes forward with strength under the existing leadership,” he said when opening Selangor UMNO branches annual general meeting simultaneously at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) Hall here Sunday.
