GEORGE TOWN, October 25 — The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a continuous rain warning for Penang, Perlis and parts of Kedah and Perak until Monday, October 26.
The advisory, issued at 9.45am Sunday, places the affected areas under the department’s alert-level warning for prolonged rainfall.
In Kedah, the warning covers Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Pendang, Yan, Kuala Muda, Kulim and Bandar Baharu.
Several districts in Perak, including Kerian, Larut Matang, Manjung, Perak Tengah and Hilir Perak, are also expected to experience continuous rainfall.
