TOKYO, October 30 — Nikon has unveiled the NIKKOR Z 120-300mm f/2.8 TC VR S, claiming it is the world’s first constant f/2.8 zoom lens with a built-in 1.4× teleconverter.
Designed for professional sports photographers, the lens extends its reach to 420mm at f/4 without changing equipment. Weighing 2,735 grams, it is 515 grams lighter than Nikon’s previous 120-300mm f/2.8 lens.

It features Silky Swift VCM autofocus, 6.5-stop vibration reduction with compatible cameras, and advanced anti-reflection coatings.
Internal focusing and zoom mechanisms maintain a constant lens length during operation. The magnesium-alloy construction offers dust and moisture resistance.

Alongside Arca-Swiss tripod compatibility. The lens also supports front screw-on and rear slip-in filters, providing additional flexibility for professional photography.
The lens will be available in mid-November 2026, with a suggested US retail price of $13,999.95.
