GEORGE TOWN, November 7 — George Town Festival will return from August 6 to 15, 2027, bringing 10 days of arts and cultural programmes to Penang. Organisers announced the dates on Friday.
With further details of the festival lineup expected in the coming months. The 2027 edition marks a new chapter as George Town World Heritage Incorporated (GTWHI) takes over festival management in-house.
TLM Event, which previously managed the festival, ended its role as organiser in November 2026. The annual festival celebrates creativity, cultural heritage and artistic expression.
Through programmes featuring local and international talent. The upcoming edition will be the first organised directly by GTWHI following the management transition.
