KUALA LUMPUR, March 25 – A group of murderers stabbed to death a woman after she witnessed them killing a foreigner in Sungai Way, Petaling Jaya, early morning today. The 1am incident, happened on the sidewalk of shop houses at Jalan PJS 8/13, saw both victims – Norlia Alias, 40, and Indonesian national Lukmanul Hakim, 34, killed on the spot. Petaling Jaya police chief Assistant Commissoner Azmi Abu Kassim said the victims were attacked by three men armed with parang and steel chain.

“Initial investigations revealed that the men first attacked the male victim, whose body was found at the staircase leading to a karaoke outlet there. “Checks by police Forensics Unit revealed that he was stabbed twice on the back, once on his stomach, slashed on his head while one of his left hand fingers was almost severed,” he said. The men then turned to Norlia, who worked at the karaoke outlet as its supervisor, when they noticed her presence. Her body was found on the sidewalk in front of a shop, some 10 metres from Lukmanul Hakim’s body.

Checks revealed that she was stabbed on her chest and slashed on her head. Azmi said police believe that the incident started as a revenge killing, before it turned into a double murder. The victims’ bodies were sent to the University Malaya Medical Centre for post-mortem. The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
