GEORGE TOWN, Aug 17 – Traffic congestion continues to occur in the southern part of the city for the following of the closure of several major roads in the area which had adjacent to the Free Industrial Zone (FIZ) Bayan Lepas this morning around 6:30am.
The worse overcrowding reportedly began at 6:30 am again that had been involving up to almost 10 kilometer route around Bayan Lepas, Bukit Jambul and Penang International Airport. The congestion is caused construction-Bayan Lepas Expressway Bridge Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah. These projects require to closing the part of Highway Dr Lim Chong Eu between the junction of Kampung Jawa to Hilir Sungai Kluang 1 until January 14, next year.
