KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 13 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has congratulated Lee Hsien Loong over his party’s the People’s Action Party (PAP) on the success in the republic’s general election on Friday. Najib said he just spoke with Lee Hsien Loong and congratulated him on the success of PAP in Singapore General Elections on Friday.
He said in his Twitter account on Friday that they hope to further strengthen bilateral relations which are strong and friendly relations between the two nationals. PAP retained power in the polls with winning 83 of 89 parliamentary seats. The party garnered 69.86 percent of the popular vote, a 10 percent of point increases compared to the 2011 general election.
