KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 15 – Schools in KL, Selangor, Putrajaya, Negeri Sembilan and Melaka will be close on Tuesday as haze reaches very unhealthy level. The order was issued by the Minister of Education Datuk Seri Mahadzir Khalid was informed by Deputy P.Kamalanathan via Twitter. This comes as the haze choking the country becomes steadily worse.
Air Polutant Index (API) readings on 11pm was showed that the air quality in Kuala Selangor has reached a dangerous levels of 207 while readings for the rest of Selangor hover around the 170 range. Meanwhile, the Air Polutant Index (API) readings in Negeri Sembilan was 200 for Nilai; Melaka at 193; Kuala Lumpur at 192 and Putrajaya at 182.
