GEORGE TOWN, May 12 – On May 07, 2022, an infectious video recording, lasting 20 seconds, was spread, uploaded by the owner of the @anwarazeez account. Video footage showing a man driving a vehicle and accompanied by two traffic policemen using a PDRM motorcycle, in Jalan Bukit Gambir, Penang.
The provision of outrider services to Administrative Members is based on the prescribed qualifications and the implementation of duties is in accordance with the permanent operating procedures (SOP) of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM). According to the existing rules and regulations, only the following dignitaries are eligible for the services of an outrider:-
- Seri Paduka Baginda Raja Yang Di-Pertuan Agong;
- Seri Paduka Baginda Raja Permaisuri Agong;
- Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan-Sultan;
- Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultanah-Sultanah;
- Tuan Yang Terutama (TYT) dan Isteri;
- Tengku Mahkota / Raja Muda
- YAB Perdana Menteri dan isteri;
- YAB Timbalan Perdana Menteri dan isteri
- YB Menteri;
- YB Timbalan Menteri yg dilantik mewakili YAB Perdana Menteri dalam mana-mana acara rasmi Kerajaan; dan
- Mantan YAB Perdana Menteri
MUDA Permatang Pauh hereby strongly condemns the irresponsible use of government assets or property for personal gain, which has tarnished the image of PDRM and the people’s confidence in the institution. The police must also take appropriate stern action against those who use government assets or property without approval to prevent this from happening again.
