KUALA LUMPUR, September 28 – Entrepreneurs and small businesses in Malaysia continue to experience the numerous advantages of eKelas Usahawan, one of Maxis’ flagship community programs as part of its corporate responsibility initiatives. Recognizing the crucial role of digital skills in today’s interconnected world, more than 5,000 participants have enrolled in the program since its launch in 2021. These sessions are conducted through a mix of webinars and physical workshops held across the country.
eKelas Usahawan is a free digital marketing program designed to empower entrepreneurs and small businesses, particularly those in the B40 segment, with fundamental digital tools and skills to enhance their digital presence. It covers four modules: digital marketing and strategy, digital photography and graphic design, copywriting, and campaign planning. Through these comprehensive sessions, participants have the opportunity to gain valuable insights and practical knowledge to apply in their respective businesses. To encourage more entrepreneurs to join the program, Maxis has been collaborating with various NGOs and government agencies to organize dedicated sessions.
This year alone, eKelas Usahawan conducted 22 physical workshops and webinars, reaching a total of 1,903 entrepreneurs in locations such as Miri, Kuantan, Langkawi, Pasir Mas, and other areas nationwide. eKelas Usahawan is a testament to Maxis’ commitment to supporting local entrepreneurs and fostering digital empowerment, particularly among those who may not have had previous access to such training opportunities. As Malaysia’s digital landscape continues to evolve, programs like eKelas Usahawan play a vital role in equipping small businesses with the skills and tools needed to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
