SELANGOR, December 10 – Roche (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, the pharmaceutical division, and Roche Diagnostics (M) Sdn Bhd, the diagnostics division, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Premier Integrated Labs (PILs) to enhance awareness and accessibility of Comprehensive Genomic Profiling (CGP) for patients in Malaysia. CGP is a revolutionary method for tailoring personalized cancer treatment. With a single test, it can analyze a wide array of genes responsible for driving cancer growth. This leads to comprehensive patient reports offering in-depth insights into potential cancer drivers.
Heng Chai Yin, General Manager of Roche Diagnostics (M) Sdn. Bhd., highlighted Roche’s commitment to improving patient access to healthcare based on strong data and clinical insights. She underlined the significance of the partnership with Premier Integrated Labs, sharing a vision for a brighter future in Malaysian healthcare. Mr. Hareeff Muhammed, CEO of Premier Integrated Labs, expressed his excitement over the partnership’s potential to reshape healthcare in Malaysia. He emphasized their dedication to raising awareness about CGP and ensuring broad access to this innovative medical approach, ultimately unlocking the power of genetics for more precise, customized treatments.
Deepti Saraf, General Manager of Roche (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., noted that this MoU is a substantial step in Roche’s commitment to advancing healthcare in Malaysia. The collaboration intends to personalize treatments for cancer patients and move away from one-size-fits-all approaches, offering patients a path to longer and better lives. The partnership stands as a beacon for a more tailored future in Malaysian healthcare, transcending socio-economic and geographic boundaries to make CGP accessible to all patients.
