KUALA LUMPUR, December 24 – EDOTCO, a major player in the telecommunications infrastructure sector, has announced a groundbreaking partnership with ZETA IOS Sdn Bhd, an integrated network solutions provider. This strategic alliance aims to redefine rural connectivity by creating an integrated Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) and Super WiFi solution using advanced low earth orbiting satellite broadband technologies like SpaceX Starlink, MEASAT CONNECTme, and Eutelsat OneWeb for backhaul. The objective is to provide an end-to-end rural connectivity solution that addresses the challenge of connecting remote areas, aligning with EDOTCO’s commitment to accelerating equitable connectivity.

In pursuit of the government’s goal to connect the last 1 million unconnected citizens nationwide, this collaboration signifies a crucial step forward in bridging the digital divide and promoting inclusive digital growth. ZETA IOS, chosen for its impressive credentials and capabilities in end-to-end integrated connectivity solutions, adds significant value to this initiative. The agreement exchange, witnessed by YB Fahmi Fadzil, Minister of Communications & Digital, occurred during a Networking Luncheon organized by EDOTCO Group at the TowerXchange Meetup Asia Conference on 28 & 29 November at Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur.

Adlan Tajudin, CEO of EDOTCO, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Through our partnership with ZETA IOS, we are taking a significant leap in connecting the most remote areas of Malaysia, where connectivity infrastructure under the National Digital Network (JENDELA) initiative may not reach. The integrated FWA solutions utilizing satellite backhaul service are not just technological advancements; they are a lifeline that bridges the gap, ensuring that no community is left behind in our journey towards a fully connected Malaysia.” This collaboration signifies a pivotal moment in EDOTCO’s commitment to shaping the nation’s digital connectivity, with the potential to make a transformative impact on rural communities and contribute to economic and social development.
