KUALA LUMPUR, December 1 – The Exchange TRX, a dynamic retail and lifestyle destination, has opened its doors, ushering in a new chapter in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Part of the 17-acre lifestyle quarter of TRX, The Exchange TRX introduces innovative retail concepts, sustainable urban living, and vibrant cultural expression. Strategically located in Malaysia’s first dedicated international financial district (IFC), The Exchange TRX spans 1.3 million sq. ft. and houses more than 400 stores, setting new benchmarks for retail innovation and sustainability.

As the city’s new social heart, The Exchange TRX goes beyond traditional retail by featuring a sprawling 10-acre public-activated park on its rooftop. This green space, the first major one in the city in over two decades, hosts over 150,000 plantings, contributing to Malaysia’s vision of achieving inclusive and sustainable growth by 2040. The rooftop park will be open year-round, providing a scenic venue for festivals, concerts, movie premieres, international exhibitions, and more. The Exchange TRX is a joint development by Lendlease, a global real estate group, and TRX City Sdn Bhd, the master developer of the Tun Razak Exchange.

Mitch Wilson, Project Director of The Exchange TRX and Head of Retail of Lendlease Malaysia, expresses the ambition behind the project, stating, “Our goal is to create world-class, sustainable, and community-focused destinations that exceed the expectations of consumers, enrich the local culture, and positively impact the country’s retail and economic landscape.” The Exchange TRX aims to enhance the community’s quality of life and contribute to Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia’s growth and identity.
