PETALING JAYA, December 9 – Graphisoft, a pioneer in Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, has unveiled the Archicad AI Visualizer, incorporating Stable Diffusion’s AI-driven image generation. This groundbreaking feature seamlessly integrates with Archicad, providing users with a user-friendly platform for generating intricate 3D visualizations in the early stages of design. Recognizing the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry, the Archicad AI Visualizer streamlines the decision-making process by offering detailed design alternatives.
Márton Kiss, Vice President of Product Success at Graphisoft, emphasized the significant impact of AI on creativity and productivity in the industry, stating, “The buzz around AI breakthroughs has shaken up the industry as a whole, with the promise of enabling increased creativity and productivity.” The tool, integrated into Archicad at no additional cost, allows users to create a basic concept model in Archicad, from which multiple refined design variations can be generated using simple text prompts or descriptive words, showcasing Graphisoft’s commitment to innovation.
This move aligns with Graphisoft’s product innovation roadmap, driven by the Adaptive Hybrid Framework technology, focusing on rapid delivery of high-quality features and the seamless integration of cutting-edge technologies like AI. Kiss expressed optimism about the AEC industry’s readiness for AI adoption, noting a shift toward technology and growing awareness of digital tool benefits. With the AI in construction market projected to reach USD 9.53 billion by 2028, Graphisoft plans to invest further in AI and Machine Learning, concentrating on design optimization, sustainability, documentation, and automating time-consuming processes.
