GEORGE TOWN, December 19 — Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang Sdn Bhd (PBAPP) has announced the commencement of repair works on a 1,350mm water pipeline at the bottom of Sungai Perai, starting at 10:00 PM tonight. The repair is expected to last for 24 hours. Several areas will be affected by either a complete water supply interruption or low water pressure. Notable areas with no water supply include Seberang Perai, Daerah Barat Dava, and specific parts of Daerah Timur Laut, while areas with low water pressure include Daerah Timur Laut.
Residents in high-altitude and distribution-end areas may experience water supply disruptions earlier. PBAPP advises users to store an adequate amount of water before the interruption. PBAPP apologizes for any inconvenience and seeks cooperation from all users during this period. Further updates on the disruption status will be communicated through Facebook.
