KUALA LUMPUR, December 21 – Maxis Broadband Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of Maxis Berhad, has officially prolonged its High-Speed Broadband (HSBB) Premium Service Agreement with TM Technology Services Sdn. Bhd. (TMT). The Amendment Agreement, inked on December 20, 2023, facilitates Maxis in continuing to procure HSBB Premium Service from TMT, focusing on enhancing HSBB coverage nationwide with advanced features.
The Agreement designates Maxis as TMT’s premium customer, exceeding basic HSBB access, and spans from the signing date until June 30, 2029, with a provision for extension. The Board deems this extension to be in the best interests of the Maxis Berhad group. In a strategic move, Maxis has extended its partnership with TM, the nation’s leading fibre network provider, to access TM’s HSBB premium services until 2029. This collaboration allows Maxis to continue providing competitive fixed broadband offerings to its customers, leveraging TM’s national fibre network.
The extended agreement reinforces Maxis’s commitment to expanding high-speed internet connectivity to more premises across the country, complementing its existing fibre network. The partnership, dating back to 2010, has solidified Maxis as TM’s biggest HSBB services partner, contributing significantly to the digital advancement of Malaysia.
