KUALA LUMPUR, January 9 – The Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) will serve as a guide for all departments and agencies under the Ministry of Human Resources (KSM) to strengthen governance and identify corruption and misuse of power risks, announced Minister Steven Sim Chee Keong. The initiative, currently in use at the Skills Development Fund Corporation (PTPK), is implemented in collaboration with the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).
Sim highlighted that the ABMS implementation is a proactive measure to ensure PTPK staff adhere to work ethics and demonstrate a high level of commitment to eradicating corruption in the civil service. This effort aligns with the Malaysia Madani framework, prioritizing integrity and efficiency in public administration. The ABMS development was prompted by PTPK’s excellent performance, recording a moderate risk level in the 2023 risk re-rating by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
