KUALA LUMPUR, January 17 – The police are set to refer the case of controversial blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin to the Attorney General’s Office over allegations of a movement known as “Langkah di Dubai,” accusing opposition MPs of plotting to overthrow the government. The Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Razarudin Husain, informed Astro Awani today that the founder and writer of Malaysia Today portal is currently in London.

“Raja Petra is not only needed for the investigation into this case, but there are also several investigation papers opened against him before. In addition to Raja Petra, several other individuals will also be called in regarding the allegations of “Langkah Dubai,”” he said. Earlier, the police had announced recording statements from four individuals related to the Langkah Dubai issue, allegedly aimed at toppling the Unity Government led by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

These individuals include social media influencer Badrul Hisham Shaharin, also known as Che’Gu Bard, Wan Muhammad Azri Wan Deris or Papagomo, and blogger Salim Iskandar. Reports suggest that these individuals were summoned to assist in the investigation, as they were believed to have used social media as a platform to discuss the related issues.
