KUALA LUMPUR, January 15 – Since its launch on January 2, a total of 112,524 individuals in Johor, constituting 4.1% of the population, have registered with the Central Database Hub (Padu) system. Despite this progress, the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DoSM) expressed a desire for higher participation, describing the current figure as less than satisfactory. To encourage further registration, Padu counters have been set up at the Digital Economy Centre (PeDi) in various areas, where Johoreans can update their profiles.

The DoSM will deploy officers to assist the public at these counters and at its offices in Johor Bahru, Kluang, Muar, and Batu Pahat. To facilitate the registration process, individuals can also utilize the Padu website (www.padu.gov.my) for online updates. The DoSM emphasizes the importance of Padu in enhancing the efficiency of policy planning and resource distribution, particularly for targeted government subsidies and assistance. Johoreans are encouraged to stay informed through the official social media accounts of Padu, the Ministry of Economy, and the Department of Statistics Malaysia.
