KUALA LUMPUR, January 22 — Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu, President of Parti Amanah Negara, has called on intellectuals, including university lecturers, to provide insights into the historical background and geopolitical dynamics that led to the creation of the illegitimate state of Israel, sparking the enduring Palestine-Israel conflict. In a Facebook post, Mohamad emphasized the significance of Muslims comprehending this history to avoid falling into the power games orchestrated by Western countries, especially in Arab nations, due to a lack of understanding.
He highlighted the role of Western powers in establishing the illegitimate state of Israel after the downfall of Islamic governments, including the Ottoman Empire, and emphasized the displacement of the original Palestinian inhabitants during its formation in 1948. Mohamad urged Muslims to recognize that the land occupied by Israel remains under the name Palestine. He underscored the importance of exposing the human rights violations committed by the Zionist regime in Palestine, asserting that European nations, including South Africa, may play a role in liberating the Palestinian state.
