KUALA LUMPUR, January 24 – Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad asserted today that he has undergone more than ten police interrogations recently, attributing this scrutiny to his “Tun” title. Dr. Mahathir expressed his dissatisfaction, pointing out that individuals linked to high-profile cases like the Pandora Papers and Panama Papers have not faced similar investigations.

His remarks follow Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s comment that it’s challenging to probe high-profile figures, especially those holding a “Tun” title. Dr. Mahathir, who recently faced police questioning regarding disparaging remarks against ethnic minorities, emphasized the pressure and investigations he faces based on accusations, urging the police to remain impartial and prioritize citizens’ protection over political matters.
