KUALA LUMPUR, January 30 – In a recent development within Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu), significant leadership changes have been announced in two states. Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, the chief of Selangor Perikatan Nasional (PN), has been appointed as the new Bersatu state chief for Selangor, succeeding Datuk Abdul Rashid Asari.

Additionally, the chairman post for Negeri Sembilan Bersatu will now be held by Labu assemblyman Mohamad Hanifah Abu Baker, replacing party deputy president Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu. The decision was communicated by Bersatu Secretary-General Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin following a special meeting of the Bersatu Supreme Council held last night. Hamzah expressed gratitude to Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu and Datuk Abdul Rashid Asari for their dedicated service in leading the states of Negeri Sembilan and Selangor, respectively.

These changes mark a strategic move by Bersatu to realign leadership roles within the party and address evolving political dynamics at the state level. The appointment of Azmin and Mohamad Hanifah signifies Bersatu’s commitment to adaptability and strategic restructuring, aiming to navigate political landscapes effectively. As the new leaders take charge, the party anticipates a renewed direction and synergy under their guidance in Selangor and Negeri Sembilan.
