KUALA LUMPUR, February 8 – Maxis, a leading telecommunications company, demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility by spreading festive cheer and support to underserved communities in Kulai, Johor, earlier this week. Partnering with Pusat Kebajikan Kalvari (PKK) Johor, PKK Kulai Healing Centre, and PKK Johor Bahru Boys and Girls Home, Maxis representatives and volunteers engaged in various activities to celebrate the Year of the Dragon.

Led by guest of honour YB Teo Nie Ching, Deputy Minister of Communications, the event included traditional games, activities, and a delightful lunch buffet, fostering meaningful connections among participants. Maxis also extended its support by providing back-to-school supply sets for children and hygiene kits for senior citizens, addressing essential needs within the community. Additionally, the PKK Kulai Centre received quality-of-life contributions from Maxis, including new mattresses, wheelchairs, adult diapers, and grocery supplies, further enhancing the well-being of residents and exemplifying Maxis’ dedication to making a positive impact beyond telecommunications services.
