KUALA LUMPUR, March 1 ― Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim made a firm declaration today, asserting that any member of his Cabinet found entangled in corrupt activities must be swiftly relieved of their duties to safeguard the nation’s integrity. Anwar emphasized his commitment to combat corruption by directing the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to rigorously investigate and take action against any ministers implicated in such misconduct.
He commended his Cabinet colleagues for their collective efforts in upholding a clean and corruption-free government, urging the MACC to remain vigilant in scrutinizing all tenders and decisions. The Prime Minister underscored the importance of transparency and accountability in project approvals, urging Cabinet members to meticulously evaluate proposals to ensure cost-effectiveness and protect public funds.
